The Tramonto shawl is finished and blocked. I look forward to a bit cooler weather when I can toss this beauty over my shoulders. It has wonderful drape, thanks to the yarn – Portland Lace by The Yarn Collective. The colorway is “A Day in the Woods” which seems fitting for my habits these days. It’s a 100% merino wool and I was really delighted to find that I only needed one skein of this yarn to make the shawl. See the beginning of my efforts in this post.

The pattern is by Annelies Baes (she can be found on Instagram, Etsy and Ravelry). I followed the instructions exactly, using a 3.75mm hook for the body and border. The border has a lovely raised texture outlining the “petals.” It might be hard to see in the photos because of the variegated shades in the yarn. It really pops in person, though.
Blocked measurements are: wingspan – about 150cm; top to tip, about 64cm. I might make another one of these soon, in the same yarn, but in the palest gray.
Thanks for checking in, see you soon!
This looks so lovely! Great work, and that colour is fantastic. Can also imagine it will look great in a light gray!
