Finished Metropolis cardi, and button shopping at Seomun Market in Daegu

The Metropolis cardi is finally finished, including 7 buttons I found today at Seomun Market in Daegu. I was prepared to hunt for awhile before I found some I liked, but I ended up finding ones I liked at the first shop I went into. They are 1.5 cm shell buttons with red and black lacquer flowers. I sewed them on with black thread.

Seomun Market was pretty busy today! Check out some video of button shopping, and general market mayhem, below:

I just arrived at the market, and started to head into one of the alleyways in the tailoring/craft section.
A typical button and notions shop.
The market was hopping today! Just about everyone has a mask (including yours truly).

Shopping at Seomun Market is always fun, but it takes some patience, since not everything is well-organized. There were some quirky and unique treasures to be found all over the market today. I had my usual lemonade and hoeddeok (cinnamon pastry) that I get most every time I shop there, which puts me in a great mood in case I don’t end up finding what I came for. Luckily, I found what I needed today, and some more things as well.

Below are just a few buttons I picked up and a peek at some others:

That was an afternoon well-spent. I hope to wear this cardigan soon. Watch this space for an actual photo of me wearing one of my articles – instead of just the mannequin. šŸ™‚
