Finished crocheted lampshade skirt

An arched lamp above my easy chair now has a new crocheted skirt. I had put this project on hold while waiting for the fire-polished beads to arrive in the mail from the Czech Republic. They finally arrived three days ago, and it was just a couple of nights’ work to add them on and cinch up the top to fit snugly over the shade.

I used a 5.00 mm crochet hook, and taupe laceweight yarn (Scheepjes Maxi Sugar Rush, incidentally the same yarn I used in my Spice Market mandala). The beads are 6 mm, fire-polished in a deep bronze color. You can find these beads at Scarabeads on Etsy or direct from the website, and the free pattern the Kristin Omdahl website.
