Just a quick hello to update on my reader’s wrap, which is almost ready for pockets and fringe. I’m really enjoying using a slightly thicker yarn than I usually do! The pattern is moving quickly. This is a free pattern from the Crochet with Carrie website.
The wrap is big enough to drape generously around the shoulders, and the pockets will be handy for keeping small items while on a sofa, reading or working (and I imagine on a plane, when we get back to normal life). I should be finished with this project in about a week.
The semester is winding down at my uni, so by Christmas I’ll have more time to finish up the many open projects that have languished these past few weeks.
Thanksgiving was a quiet affair in my home. I did manage to get my little tree up on-time this year (it’s a new one with tiny globe lights). All my Dad’s ornaments are in place, except for the latest one. I’m crossing my fingers that it arrives in the mail before Christmas.
I’ll leave you with a shot taken in the meadow across from my apartment building. The trees are bare now and the landscape is taking on its austere winter look.
