My Makes

Moon-shaped shawl

This jade green shawl took me only two days to crank out. The yarn is Debbie Bliss Sita, a breeze to work with, and the pattern is simple. I’m so used to working with tiny yarn, hooks, and complicated patterns that take ages, so this was a nice break. For this one, I used a 6mm hook and about 250g of the yarn.

I’m looking forward to going back to more tiny-yarn work this summer, though, to make flowers with laceweight yarn. I just bought several colors of size 20 and 40 thread, so you can imagine how small things are going to get. Working with that size thread is somewhat new to me, and I’ll be sure to post photos of my progress.

I saved a slice of carrot cake for you! This is the one I made for my birthday last week. Enjoy!
