The Mont Blanc cardigan is now ready to wear. I really want to call this garment a “shirt-jack” since that is how it looks and fits. I made the sleeves a tiny bit wider than recommended, so I could wear a hefty shirt underneath. The front pockets are stitched as little tubes and attached to the inner front.
The back has a pleat that gives the cardigan more ease, but if I were to make it again, I would omit this part. It is maybe my least favorite feature of the garment, partially due to the tuck at the middle of the ridge. Instead of a pleat, I might have increased a little more across the back, and left the ridge uninterrupted across the shoulders.
The buttons are from a little shop in Seomun Market, where I find all kinds of great buttons and notions. I managed to find some that are almost an exact match to the color.
My next big garment make will be a tweedy wool poncho, using Rowan Felted Tweed yarn, that I hope to finish by Spring. I just received the yarn by mail, so I’m all set to get started during my winter break.

That’s it for today, but I’ll be back soon with a brand new amigurumi figure that I have almost finished. Hint – it’s a mischievous animal character from literature.
Absolutely gorgeous! The fur on the collar and cuffs provide an added dimension.
Your new wool looks lovely too, and I’m looking forward to seeing your next project take shape.

Aww you are too kind, thank you so much. Yes this new yarn is fab! I’ve worked with it before, so I’m excited for something new with it.
