The Kodiak wrap is now finished and ready for a nice trek out in the woods! I began this project in the summer and progressed slowly, as I found early on that I needed about double the yarn that the pattern prescribed. The yarn is three shades of Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca, in black, charcoal, and oxford gray.
It has a generous hood, long ties in the front that are weighted with beads, and small tassels on the back and sides. Its blanket-like construction reminds me of a serape, and it’s very cozy to wear. The pattern is by Crystal Bear Designs.

Autumn temperatures are still very comfortable this week, but will start to dip a bit next week. I managed to get a few photos of some color before it all disappears again for the year. The meadow has overgrown with brambles these last two years, but someone dug a wide, diagonal pathway through it all with a tractor so people can walk to the far edge of the forest. Gingko trees are reaching their golden peak now.

These golden Autumn views are dedicated to those who lost their lives this week in the tragic Seoul crowd surge. My prayers are with them and their loved ones.
