My Makes

Olaf amigurumi

Olaf from Frozen has now joined Mr. Kringle beside my tree!

I finished this sweet amigurumi version of the character this evening. Olaf is only cooling his heels here for a bit, though, as he is earmarked for my youngest niece in California, where he’ll enjoy some of the best Summer weather on earth (Frozen fans know how Olaf loves all things Summer).

PHOTO: Olaf amigurumi made with Phildar Coton 3 and felt accents, and a 3.25mm hook.

The pattern by is by Crown Country crochet, part of a trio of Frozen patterns that includes Elsa and Anna. I made a few adjustments, such as adding plastic safety eyes instead of felt ones, and positioning the feet toward the front of his body to keep him standing upright.

He stands about 6-7 inches high, and took me two evenings to complete. I hope he brings as much joy to the recipient as I had making him.
