Leaf mandala

The leaf mandala/doily is now done and blocked! I’m considering how to hang this lovely work. It is roughly 16.5 inches (41cm) in diameter, and could be strung up on a ring, if I can find one that’s not much wider than this.

The repeat patterns in the round were very meditative, and the tiny stitches really honed my dexterity. Can’t wait to make another one. I have a pattern that’s more challenging that I may pick up at the end of summer. You can learn more about where I found this pattern and some other Ukrainian artists in a previous blog post.

Meantime, I will be flying to the United States soon, and will take a couple of simpler projects along with me. See you on the other side! ❤️
